Connect India now Connects - Andaman and Nicobar islands with Last Mile Delivery

Bangalore, May 23, 2019: Connect India, India’s largest Last Mile Delivery Company and a logistics player that has boosted last mile connectivity in the country, is now expanding to the far flung areas of the country, as their first delivery centre was launched on May 7th, 2019 in Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The delivery Centre will service all 38 inhabited islands and is equipped with multiple modes of transportation to deliver the products to all pin codes, amounting to a total area of 8250 sq.kms. Andaman and Nicobar is an archipelago, with a population of 3.81 lakh people, and is situated 900 nautical miles from India with several logistical challenges, but a vast majority of their population is immersed in online shopping. Mr. L R Sridhar, Founder MD& CEO of Connect India and a pioneer in last mile connectivity said, “Andaman and Nicobar Islands are stretched across hilly areas and plains, posing certain complexities when it comes to transportation.
