Jalandhar, November 27, 2021: PG Deprtment of Politicl Science of Doaba College Jalandhar organised special seminar to celebrate National Constitution day. Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari highlighted the importance of Constitution, the significance of its celebration and commemorated the people who contributed to the development of Indian constitution. Dr. Nirmal Singh, keynote speaker, took the event forward and explained the historical significance of November 26, as India’s Constitution was adopted in 1949 thereafter came into force on January 26, 1950. He stated that the constitution serves as the backbone of the country. Without it, the Law and Jurisdiction will not hold up and fall apart in no time. He paid his tribute to Dr. B R Ambedkar for playing an important role in drafting the Indian Constitution. He lso red out Preamble of the constitution was read out and discussed with students. The event was brought to its fruition with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Vinay Girotra-Head, discussed the relevance of premble nd its significance to understand constituition
