Among the many amazing performances, contestant Nikhil Patnayak from Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, and choreographer Ashutosh Pawar’s act on the song ‘Papa Meri Jaan’ will stand out as a deeply touching tribute to Remo D’Souza and his relationship with his father. The duo will beautifully bring to life the inspiring story of Remo’s journey from Jamnagar, where he promised his father that one day he would make him proud by winning an award to him finally winning a national award, but his father was no longer there to witness his son’s triumph. The heartfelt performance will leave Remo emotional, as Nikhil and Ashutosh brilliantly capture the essence of his journey and the deep bond he shared with his father.
An emotional Remo D’Souza said, “There’s a certain regret in life that stays with a person, and this is my biggest regret—one that will probably never be fulfilled. No matter how many awards I win, how many houses I buy, how many cars I own, or how much I achieve, I’ll never feel that happiness because the person I wanted to do it all for is no longer here. Thank you for this act—you performed it beautifully. For the first time, I’m at a loss for words. Thank you for this beautiful act.”
Judge Geeta Kapur added saying, “It's been so many years, and I think Terence will agree—Remo, more than you and me, we have witnessed all his achievements. He has achieved so much, won numerous awards, and is a national award winner. He works on big songs, directs major films, but our love was never for Remo; it has always been for ‘Ramesh.’ Ramesh has always been our friend because he has never changed. The way he was when we met him 15 years ago, he is still the same today.”
Talking about the act judge Geeta Kapur says, “Ashutosh, thank you for this dedication, and for revealing a new aspect of Remo sir, or should I say, Ramesh. Thank you so much. Nikhil, good job.”
