Cooking class organised and Songkran Food Festival at Red restaurant from April 10 to 18


Ludhiana: Delicious Thai Cuisines, with traditional décor is lined up for the Songkran food festival. Songkran is the Thai New Year's festival being organized at Red restaurant at Radisson Blu Hotel MBD Ludhiana. The festival that started on April 10 th and will continue till April 18 th. The menu has been crafted by Master Chef Chandan Gutgayal and Executive Chef Amit Thapliyal and cooking class was organized for ladies where they were taught about Thai dishes.

Hotel Manager Abhay Kumar said, “Thai New Year's Day is 13 April every year & with the New Year of many calendars of South and Southeast Asia, in keeping with the Buddhist/Hindu solar calendar, we have organized this food festival so that widely travelled Ludhianvis can have taste of Thai food at their favorite restaurant RED at Radisson Blu Hotel MBD Ludhiana.

Assistant F&B Manager Vijay Upadhay said our chefs have crafted special menu for Thai New Year festival. He said with ongoing IPL matched one can enjoy Thai food at Red restaurant name that is synonymous to Oriental food. He said it will be a treat to both vegetarians and non vegetarians food lovers.

Executive Chef Amit Thapliyal said, “The appetizer that can be chosen from various specialities of prawns, chicken and fish includes Pad Khing Stir-fried with ginger, mushroom, onion and capsicum, Pad Krapaw Stir-fried with chilli paste, bamboo shoot, and mushrooms.

Food Menu with details

Pad Num Man Hoi Stir-fried with broccoli, cauliflower in oyster sauce, Pad Makeur Stir-fried eggplant with fresh garlic, soya bean sauce and sweet basil. In the apertizer section vegetarians can tickle their taste bud with Por Pia Tod Flaky crispy vegetable and vermicelli spring roll and Thod Mad Kha Pad Spicy fried corn patties with Thai herbs, served sweet chilli sauce.

In Soup section one can start with Tom Yum Spicy & Sour soup with lemongrass and mushrooms in prawns and chicken. TOM KHA Non spicy coconut soup made from galangal root and lemon grass.

In the Main Courses food lover can enjoy Green Curry Green curry in coconut milk base with vegetables, Red Curry Red curry in coconut milk base with vegetables, Yellow Curry Thick curry made from red chillies, ground peanuts, sweet basil, kaffir lime leaves and coconut milk. Chicken Masaman Chicken thigh fillets seasoned with tamarind, palm sugar and coconut milk with potatoes and peanuts, Pineapple Fried Rice Stir-fried rice with pineapple, chicken, cashew nut and raisins, Fried Rice Thai style fried rice with vegetables and egg, Spicy Fried Rice Spicy fried rice with vegetables, egg and basil and Steam rice.

In Noodles Pad Thai Stir-fried rice noodle with bean sprout, peanut, egg in tamarind sauce, Pad Sew Stir fried rice noodle with egg and bok choy in oyster sauce and sweet soy sauce

In Dessert section one can have Chilled Litchi with a Scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream and Fruit Sago Pudding.
