Councillors & Ward Incharges of Ludhiana West thank Party for candidature of MP Arora
`AAP’ candidate for the Ludhiana (West) assembly seat and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora held a meeting with the party’s municipal councilors and Ward In-charges and other partymen hailing from the assembly segment concerned here on Tuesday evening, to get first hand feedback about demands of people in their respective areas.

Ludhiana, March 5, 2025: `AAP’ candidate for the Ludhiana (West) assembly seat and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora held a meeting with the party’s municipal councilors and Ward In-charges and other partymen hailing from the assembly segment concerned here on Tuesday evening, to get first hand feedback about demands of people in their respective areas.
Most of the demands were related to parks, sewerage, streetlights, power supply, roads and other infrastructure. He assured that all developmental works will be done by concerned authorities.
After listening to the demands, Arora announced grant of Rs.3 lakh out of MPLAD Fund for every municipal ward. He made an appeal to municipal councilors to undertake development works on priority basis without wasting a single minute.
He said he will contest election on a positive agenda without indulging into mudslinging. He said highlighted various development works undertaken by him during his tenure as Rajya Sabha MP for the last about three years. He said being an MP has done several works in Ludhiana (West) assembly constituency, adding that he has already released grant of Rs.1 crore out of MPLAD Fund for various development works in Ludhiana (West) assembly constituency.
Arora said his opponents are labelling him as an “outsider” which is totally incorrect factually because he was born and brought up in Ludhiana. He said his business is still in Ludhiana, adding that he is always ready to serve the people of Ludhiana. He thanked all the municipal councilors and Ward In-charges for arriving for the meeting within a short period.
Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian directed all municipal councilors, Ward In-charges and others to visit street to street in their respective wards to know about grievances and problems being faced by people. He said all the grievances and problems will be sorted out within a short time. He said there will be no shortage of funds for carrying out development works.
All the partymen including municipal councilors and Ward In-charges showing their unity fully assured that they will work hard for victory of Arora in the election. They opined that Arora’s selection is the right decision by the party high command, adding that even development works have already started in many municipal wards a couple of days ago on an initiative of Arora.
Ludhiana Improvement Trust (LIT) chairman Tarsem Singh Bhinder also assured to beautify all the parks in the city. He said it’s examination time for everyone and we are to clear this exam on merit basis. Amandeep Singh Mohie State Secretary of AAP Punjab and Chairman, Markfed Punjab also spoke on the occasion.
