Covid-19 Fighters (The Most Horror Movie)
By Ridhima Gupta, Ludhiana
COVID-19 or Coronavirus is now a really common word but a scary one. It seems like we all are in a horror movie, where everybody is scared but every movie has heros like the Avengers. In the movie of COVID-19 FIGHTERS, each and every one of us is a hero, even though we don’t have powers. COVID-19 cannot be defeated by weapons but by staying at home. We have lockdowns and curfews. COVID-19 is a lifetime experience. Now, it depends upon you how you look at it. We all did so many things. Sometimes, we clapped in balconies for giving salute to the doctors and the medical staff. Let’s have a peek at our journey through this horror movie:
It was time to go in our new classes. I, Ridhima Gupta, a student of class 7th now had finished a step of our life and you all too. Happiness and joys were filled everywhere but nobody knew that one of the most dangerous things is gonna happen and will change the world. 22 March,2020 was the day for the first curfew done to prevent COVID-19 in India. All the grocery stores , vegetable and fruit markets were crowded. All were stressed and worried especially the poor workers as all the factories, offices, schools and shops were shut. All the people away from their families were rushing to go to their homes. All the happiness disappeared and sadness filled. People were dying. Everyone shut in their homes, safe with their near and dear ones. Children headed to online classes. Everything changed all of a sudden. Things were going too fast. Cases were increasing and increasing but our doctors and medical staff didn’t step back. They became our shields and sacrificed themselves for the sake of their own families and country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi wanted to thank these superheroes and ordered that everybody will stand in their balconies and salute them by clapping and by hitting the spoons on the plates. Who doesn’t remember that?? Answer- Nobody. A routine started, everyone getting used to it. Children having online classes, parents working at home except the doctors and the medical staff. Diwali approached and orders came to light candles and diyas in your balcony and pray. I again wanna ask Who doesn’t remember? Answer- Nobody. Both the time, the answer was Nobody, it means the statement “COVID-19 is a lifetime experience” is true. Time went on like this. Cases increased and new types of COVID-19 entered the Earth. Restrictions are slowly been taken back, making it easier for us. According to me, some restrictions should not have been taken back. The recovery rate may have increased but not in all areas. The malls and shopping complexes are getting crowded as usual. The difference is we all are wearing masks but are touching and going everywhere. The war has not finished, it is going on. Schools have started opening for higher classes but parents are not willing to do so. Moreover, the farmer protest is going on adding to these problems. When it comes to protest, it means gathering at one place and raising your opposition. “Final exams for classes 5th-12th will be offline.” The restrictions are gradually taken back. Many scientists are toiling day and night for making a vaccine for all ages. Things are changing.
This is the story till now, the rest, we will write. So write a happy ending by taking as many precautions as we can. If you don’t wanna do , do it for your family. we can’t afford to loose. Man is the best creation of god. Don’t let god regret it. Make him proud of it.
One day, everything will turn normal but it doesn’t mean COVID-19 will end but it will decrease very very very much. That day we can say “We won, the movie has ended.” We don’t want a part-2 of this movie, so keep taking precautions. This one day will come soon till then my dear friends bye, keep taking precautions, avoid going out and take care of your family.
