Covid 19 IEC van flagged off by Bharat Bhushan Ashu
It will go in every nook and corner of the city
Ludhiana: Punjab Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Mr Bharat Bhushan Ashu today flagged off the IEC van in order to aware people about the Covid 19. The IEC van has banners and all the information regarding corona virus on it. It will go in every nook and corner of the city and make aware people about Covid 19.
He was also accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma, ADC (D) Mr Sandeep Kumar, MC Councillor Mrs Mamta Ashu, besides several others.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr Bharat Bhushan Ashu said that Punjab is going through a crucial time as the number of cases have started rising again. “But we all need to keep ourselves motivated. For that, we should follow the Punjab government guidelines. We should wear mask, maintain social distancing and we should wash our hands at short intervals. I request people of Punjab to Stay at home and stay safe from this virus. Our efforts are worthless without people's cooperation,” he said.
Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma appealed to the residents to strictly follow the government directions if they want to keep their families safe from the affects of Covid 19. He assured that the District Administration is ready to tackle the second wave of Covid 19.
On this occasion, Civil surgeon, Ludhiana Dr. Rajesh Kumar Bagga said that awareness is the only thing we can do till the time we have vaccine. But, awareness is a two way process. Government is making people aware through various methods from day one. “But some people are not following the government directions. I request all the people to kindly stay at home and follow the guidelines issued by Punjab government. Otherwise, we have to see a bad phase in this second wave of covid 19,” he said.
