Covid-19 survivors, staff celebrate Lohri at Zirakpur
The survivors felt grateful to the hospital team and doctors
Zirakpur: Covid-19 survivors along with medical and para-medical staff celebrated Lohri at Amcare Hospital, Zirakpur on Wednesday.
Those treated in hospital while cherishing the bond with hospital staff danced, sang songs, exchanged gajak, rewari and pleasantries among themselves. As a gesture, hospital staff which performed meritoriously under Covid crisis greeted them with gifts and certificates of 'Covid Warrior'.
During the occasion the survivors felt grateful to the hospital team and doctors including Dr Rachit Duggal from critical care and Dr Vivek Sabharwal from internal medicine for their support in overcoming these tough times.
One of the Covid survivors said,”2021 is like a fresh start for us and we want to enjoy every bit of life that God has showered on us after such terrible and testing times.
Another survivor said,” Humankind has faced worse since its existence and overcame the bad phases every time. With virus now subduing and vaccines available, for us the Lohri celebrations today are like human race victory over tough times while looking positively for the future.”
