Covid vaccination campaign launched at Mohandai Oswal Hospital
152 doctors and staff members got vaccinated on the first day
Ludhiana: 152 doctors and staff members got vaccinated on the first day as the covid vaccination campaign was launched at Mohandai Oswal Hospital today. It was inaugurated by Dr Sanjeev Kumar Uppal, the Chief Executive Officer. He was also one of the few doctors who got the vaccination done to set an example. He said that staff from all cadres of doctors, administration, nurses, technical and non-technical workers got the vaccination. Mild light headedness was experienced by a few of them which settled in about 10 – 15 minutes, he added. There was no major reaction noticed during the campaign on first day.
Dr Geeti Puri, the nodal officer for Covid also got the vaccination shot. She briefed that this is as good as any other vaccine and one should not worry. She explained that rarely some people may feel vomiting sensation. The morale of the staff members at MOH was very high and there was an exemplary acceptance for the vaccination process, she added.
Narrating his experience, Mr Dinesh Gogna, finance secretary and member of Governing Body, told that he did not experience any pain during or after the injection. His vitals remained within normal limits. He rated the experience as 5 over 5.
Mr Jawahar Lal Oswal, the Chairman of the hospital expressed his satisfaction over this campaign and said that this will go in a long way in fighting Covid.
Mr Yogendra Awadhiya, the Head Operations told that the hospital has made all emergency arrangements for any untoward reaction, but luckily nobody had any major problem today.
