Left will play significant role in 2019 elections, Say party leader
Ludhiana, August 13, 2018: As a part off nationwide campaign to build public opinion to oust Modi government in elections in 2019, the Communist Party of India, Ludhiana unit organized a big rally at the Khajoor Chowk, Salem Tabri, Ludhiana.
Addressing the rally, DP Maur, District Secretary, CPI said that the Modi government is in fact a puppet of the RSS and all diktats come from Nagpur. After having failed in all the promises made during 2014 elections they are now out to split the society on communal and caste lines to garner votes. Confessions by killers at Hapur and Alwar have thoroughly exposed the Modi government and the BJP governments in these states. Prime minster has been silent even on incidents like shelter home in Muzaffarpur. This silence is in line with his role during the Gujarat carnage. Danger exists that they may even not hesitate to start war with neighbors to arouse narrow nationalist sentiments near the elections. They have to be ousted if we have to save India and to strengthen the values of secularism, democracy and socialism as enshrined in our constitution.
Com Ramesh Rattan, City secretary CPI said that the CPI along with other left forces will strive to build broad democratic platform to oust BJP from power. Others who addressed the rally include Comrades M S Bhatia, Gurnam Sidhu, Hardip Kaur, Nagina Ram, Sanjay Kumar, Jagmohan Sharma, Ajit Kumar Chaurasia, Chanchal Singh, Charan Singh, Mohd Shafeeq and Vinod Kumar.
