Cricket leagues to be organised at Block level: PYDB Chairman

Ludhiana, December 14, 2021: Punjab Youth Development Board (PYDB) chairman Sukhwinder Singh Bindra has said that for promoting sports amongst the youth, special cricket leagues would be organised in the rural hinterland of the state. He said that directions in this regard would be issued to all Assistant Directors (Youth Services) and District Sports Officers.

Bindra said this while addressing the gathering while distributing sports kits to the players during the Lodhi Club Sports Carnival, at Lodhi Club, here last evening. He also distributed prizes to the winners.

Chairman Sukhwinder Singh Bindra said the state government, under the able leadership of Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and Sports & Youth Welfare Minister Pargat Singh, was making all out efforts to promote sports amongst the Punjabi youth. 

He said that this was need of the hour to engage the youth in the sports which could help them to excel in their lives and asked them to become ambassadors of their respective areas. 
He said that Punjab Youth Development Board is fully committed for the betterment and development of the Youth of the State.

He said the state government was leaving no stone unturned to ensure that Punjab emerges as a front runner state in the arena of sports under its Tandarust Punjab Mission.
