CRM SK Singh inaugurates new office of United India Insurance Company Ltd at Bathinda
Ludhiana, February 2, 2019: The new office of United India Insurance Company Ltd was inaugurated at Bathinda by the company's chief regional manager SK Singh. It may be mentioned here that Bathinda Division of the company is the largest division across Ludhiana Region. The company's Bathinda Division is spread in the districts of Mansa and Barnala. The Bathinda Division had collected premium worth Rs.44 crore 66 lakh last year and the target for this year is fixed at Rs.50 crore. In his inaugural address, SK Singh stated that the company has its 2,200 offices across the country. He added the company did an insurance business worth Rs.17430 crore in during FY2017-18. He said the target of the company was to render better insurance services to people. He added many welfare schemes for rural and people have been made. He further said that the company was also working for social security besides doing the business of insurance. He added under social security schemes villages and schools were being adopted. Besides, activities such as blood camps, free check up camps, park development and welfare of poor were being undertaken. Adding, Singh said last year the company had adopted 333 schools and 85 villages. In Ludhiana Region, the company had adopted Gurusar Mahraj in Bathinda district, Village Nandpur in Fateshgarh Sahib, Village Dhadda in Jalandhar district and border village Atalgarh in Amritsar district have been adopted so far, he added. He also spoke about financial assistance given to Gurbanta Das School, a school for deaf and dumb children in Bathinda and Anand Vatika Park, Patel Nagar Ring Road, Bathinda. This information was given by the company's Bathinda Divisional Manager Baldev Singh. Present on the occasion included the company's regional manager Hans Raj Sharma, nodal officer Usha Grover and Bathinda Division senior divisional manager Baldev Singh. Besides, the officers and the employees of the branches of Bathinda, Mansa, Talwandi Sabo, Rampura Phool, Barnala and Maur were also present.
