CT Architecture students visit Jaipur on educational tour
Jalandhar, January 10, 2019: Keeping in mind the learning experience beyond classroom, CT Institute of Architecture and Planning (CTIAP) organises various educational tours where students are taken to places of historical importance and modern advancement. This time, the students went on an educational tour to Jaipur, under the guidance of faculty Preetpal Singh and Ar.Sukriti. Students were taken to a tour of various places like Amber Fort, which is on a hill in Amer, Hawa Mahal, City Palace and Jantar Mantar. Telling about the visit, Preetpal Singh, Faculty said that students gained a lot many practical experiences regarding architectural styles of the forts and sketched the forts on the spot. One of the students named Riya Sen said, “It was an amazing learning experience and the best place was Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds which is a five storey building in the shape of a crown of Lord Krishna. Such insights regarding architecture of the buildings are quite useful for our field.” Shruti H. Kapur, HOD, CTIAP said that these educational trips give students an exposure to places they might not have visited otherwise and they can easily gain new perspectives about the world. Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions said, “By coming into direct contact with different environment or even a new culture or language, students can better understand the place in the community and can develop openness to differences in others.”
