CT Group Celebrates Unity in Diversity at United Bharat Cum Diwali Mela
CT Group recently hosted the United Bharat Cum Diwali Mela, a celebration that brought together the diverse cultural heritage of India, showcasing the traditions of over 15 states. The event saw participation from various institutions within CT Group, each representing a unique Indian state, including West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, and others.
Jalandhar, October 26, 2024: CT Group recently hosted the United Bharat Cum Diwali Mela, a celebration that brought together the diverse cultural heritage of India, showcasing the traditions of over 15 states. The event saw participation from various institutions within CT Group, each representing a unique Indian state, including West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, and others.
The celebration began with a cultural parade, where students dressed in traditional attire and portrayed the heritage, architecture, and iconic monuments of their designated states. Their presentations were accompanied by detailed explanations, providing a rich learning experience for attendees. Native dance performances from each state added to the authenticity and energy of the parade.
The Diwali Mela consisted of stalls representing different states, featuring regional foods and cultural displays. Students took pride in explaining the unique aspects of each state’s heritage, bringing the event to life through visual exhibits and interactive displays. Additional food stalls and games added to the festivities, drawing in visitors from across the campus and community.
The United Bharat event culminated with a prize ceremony recognizing the outstanding efforts. First place went to the CT Institute of Engineering Management and Technology from Uttar Pradesh. Second place was awarded to the CT Institute of Higher Studies from West Bengal, and third place went to the CT Institute of Hospitality Management from Haryana.
CT Group's Managing Director, Dr. Manbir Singh, praised the creativity and dedication shown by students and faculty alike as he visited each stall. Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh echoed these sentiments, noting the event’s success in fostering unity through shared cultural appreciation. Dr. Arjan Singh, Dean of Student Welfare, and Divoy Chhabra, Vice Principal of CT Institute of Hospitality Management, were instrumental in guiding students and faculty, whose combined efforts made the event a memorable celebration of India’s cultural wealth.
