CT Group holds e-discussion on impact of covid-19 on tourism sector

Jalandhar: Department of Travel and Tourism Management, CT Group of Institutions, North Campus (Maqsudan) organized a webinar on the topic “Impact off Covid-19 on tourism sector”.
The e-discussion was opened by Moderator Ramsangzuali, Assistant Professor, followed by a presentation of Shweta Singh, MTTM-2nd semester. She started the presentation on effect of Covid-19 on tourism business like travel agencies and tour operators, followed by impact of Covid-19 on aviation industry presented by Ravi Gupta BTTM-4th semester. The last panelist NC Humhima talked about the effect of Covid-19 on major Airports and Popular destinations. In this webinar, the participants were informed about the ongoing measures taken by various organizations like IATA, ITDC and Ministry of Tourism India and also discussed various negative and positive impacts it can have in tourism Industry post pandemic.
The discussion ended with questions and answers where audience got a chance to put across their questions regarding the effect of pandemic on tourism and hospitality sectors.
Campus Director Dr. Jasdeep Kaur Dhami said that such discussions are need of hour to make students aware about the present and future scenario of varied fields.
