CT Group hosts cluster-level workshop for eco-club coordinators to enhance environmental education

Jalandhar, September 3, 2024: CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus, proudly hosted the Cluster Level Orientation Workshop for Eco-Club Coordinators. This event, conducted under the Environment Education Programme - 2024, brought together coordinators from districts including Jalandhar, Ludhiana, SBS Nagar, Roopnagar, and Kapurthala. The workshop was facilitated by the Punjab State Council for Science & Technology (PSCST) in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India, and organized by the District Education Office (SE), Jalandhar.

The workshop aimed to enhance environmental education and awareness among school coordinators, promoting sustainable practices through the active participation of Eco-Clubs in various districts. The presence of esteemed dignitaries such as Dr. Gurinderjeet Kaur, District Education Officer (SE), Dr. K.S. Bath, Joint Director of PSCST, Dr. Mandakini, Project Scientist at PSCST, and Rajeev Joshi, Deputy District Education Officer (SE) Jalandhar, and Dr Vaneet Thakur, Director of Admissions, CT Group lent great significance to the event.

Resource persons like Dr. Anjana Bhatia from HMV College and Jagjit Singh from Ropar led engaging sessions. District coordinators including Harjit Kumar Bawa and Haridarshan Singh from Jalandhar, Sukhjeet Singh Kainth from Roopnagar, Jasvir Singh from Ludhiana, Gagandeep Singh from Kapurthala, Satnam Singh from SBS Nagar, and Tejinder Singh from Tarntaran actively participated in discussions and activities aimed at fostering environmental stewardship in schools.

The workshop proved to be an enriching experience for all participants, furthering the agenda of environmental education in schools and aligning with national objectives for ecological sustainability.
