CT Group hosts the 67th Zonal NASA Convention
CT Group of Institutions marked the beginning of the prestigious 67th Zonal NASA Convention, a three-day gathering of over 1,200 architecture students from 50+ schools across North India. Organized by the National Association of Students of Architecture (NASA), the event brings together young minds passionate about design, innovation, and the future of architecture.
Jalandhar, October 12, 2024: CT Group of Institutions marked the beginning of the prestigious 67th Zonal NASA Convention, a three-day gathering of over 1,200 architecture students from 50+ schools across North India. Organized by the National Association of Students of Architecture (NASA), the event brings together young minds passionate about design, innovation, and the future of architecture.
Students from renowned institutions such as Jindal School of Art and Architecture, MBS School of Planning, Amity School of Architecture and Planning, Sushant School of Art and Architecture, Malviya National Institute of Technology, Chitkara School of Planning and Architecture, KR Mangalam University, Guru Nanak Dev University, Lovely Professional University, IKG PTU, and many others participated in this highly anticipated event. The convention provides a platform for students to engage, share ideas, and develop their skills through various workshops, discussions, and competitions.
The opening ceremony featured a captivating panel discussion with leading figures in the world of architecture. Renowned architect Surinder Bagha, recipient of the Michael Ventris Award and founder of the Sakaar Foundation, shared his thoughts on the evolving role of architecture in society. Architect Sangeet Sharma, known for his exemplary designs like NIT Jalandhar and the University of Jammu, spoke on the future of sustainable architecture. Architect Pardeep Singh Mann, an influential author, discussed the significance of innovation and creativity in architectural education.
In his remarks, Ar. Surinder Bagha expressed his excitement about the event, saying, "This convention is an incredible opportunity for young architects to explore new ideas, collaborate, and push the boundaries of what architecture can achieve. It's where the future of our built environment takes shape."
The convention saw students enthusiastically participating in hands-on workshops focused on various aspects of architecture. Sessions included redesigning public spaces, DIY architectural projects, wooden craftsmanship, and virtual reality in architecture, providing students with practical experience and creative inspiration.
The event was graced by the presence of CT Group's leadership, including Chairman S. Charanjit Singh, Executive Director Dr. Nitin Tandon, Managing Director Dr. Manbir Singh, Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh, and Principal CT Institute of Architecture and Planning Ar Shruti H Kapur, who were delighted to witness the energy and enthusiasm of the students.
The first day concluded with vibrant cultural performances, showcasing the diverse talents and creativity of the participants. As the convention continues over the next two days, students will engage in more workshops, discussions, and exhibitions, further expanding their understanding of architecture and design.
