Jalandhar, June 23, 2016: CT Group of Institutions believes in the adage "Do not limit self to present realities. Expand it constantly; unfold your highest potential, pushing to the brink, that’s what it is all about." Witnessing the demand of Designing and Architecture in the recent times, CT Group of Institutions started a new course from this academic session.
Bachelor of Design (B. Design) is a 4-year program affiliated from Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) aimed at imparting the professional fashion education that focuses on innovation for sustainability of economical, ecological and social values. The designing specialization offered by CT Institute of Higher Studies (CTIHS) under the patronage of CT Group of Institutions, inculcates design sensitization, which balances global fashion aesthetics with an Indian soul.
Dr. P.S. Bedi (Director Campus, CT Group of Institutions) said, “We create leaders, winners and achievers in a global corporate world, it does not only end here but it also wishes to open new vistas of opportunities for its students by understanding their needs and providing them meaningful education.”
A holistic input on generic design with more focused approach towards textile/fashion/interior design inculcates the ability to develop and channelize creativity. It caters the needs of export market as well as enables students to anticipate and address relevant concerns and issues. Dr. Bedi further said, “We are committed to continue our improvement in the quality of education through changes in the delivery systems and by designing and maintaining an environment which will contribute towards better employability of our students. We intend to achieve the above mentioned objectives by continuous improvements in the quality of our inputs as well as the transformation process.”
S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) highlighting its job perspectives said, “In India, the fashion industry has just begun to come of age, as it is still in its fledgling stage. This industry offers plenty of opportunities for talented hard working and enthusiastic people. Prospects for design graduates are pretty good, thanks to the huge and still growing demand for “designer households and infrastructure” and the equally outsized quantity of exports.”
He further said, “After successful completion of the course, you can remain self employed. Alternatively, several export houses, garment store chains, textile mills, leather companies, boutiques, fashion show organizers, jewellery houses and media houses recruit professionals interested in a career in fashion designing.”
