Jalandhar, May 16,2024: CT Group has embraced CSIR's initiative to promote energy-saving practices through the 'Wrinkles Achhe Hain (WAH)' campaign. Inspired by CSIR's call to wear un-ironed clothes on Mondays, CT Group has launched 'Wrinkled Tuesday' to further support the cause of reducing carbon emissions.
The inaugural Tuesday of the campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation from the CT Group workforce, who pledged their support by donning unironed clothes. The campaign, spearheaded by CSIR's inaugural female Director General, Dr. N Kalaiselvi, is part of the ongoing Swachta Pakhwada observed by CSIR from May 1 to 15.
Ironing clothes contributes to the emission of approximately 200 g of carbon dioxide per set. By opting for non-ironed attire, individuals can prevent the emission of carbon dioxide, thus making a significant contribution to environmental conservation. CT Group employees enthusiastically participated in the campaign activities, including signing the signature wall to pledge their commitment to reducing carbon footprints, holding placards to spread awareness, and attending an awareness session.
Dr. Manbir Singh, Managing Director of CT Group, expressed his support for the campaign, highlighting the importance of collective efforts in conserving energy and protecting the environment.
