CT Group of Institutions hosts 67th Zonal NASA Convention
CT Group of Institutions hosted the 67th Zonal NASA Convention, a three-day event that brought together over 1,200 architecture students from more than 50 schools across North India. The convention, packed with over 50 events, two keynote sessions, and 2 masterclasses, was a true celebration of architectural creativity and academic excellence over 72 action-filled hours.
Jalandhar, October 14, 2024: CT Group of Institutions hosted the 67th Zonal NASA Convention, a three-day event that brought together over 1,200 architecture students from more than 50 schools across North India. The convention, packed with over 50 events, two keynote sessions, and 2 masterclasses, was a true celebration of architectural creativity and academic excellence over 72 action-filled hours.
Students from institutions such as Sushant School of Art & Architecture, Amity School of Architecture and Planning, Chitkara School of Planning and Architecture, Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), Chandigarh University, and many others converged on the CT Group campus for this momentous occasion.
One of the major highlights of the event was the keynote address delivered by Ar. (Prof.) Charanjit S. Shah is an acclaimed architect known as the "Airport Design King." Prof. Shah’s contributions to major infrastructure projects like the Kartarpur Corridor and various railway terminals.
The convention’s workshops covered acoustics in architecture, parametric modeling, climate consultancy, material alchemy, and green planning, all of which attracted enthusiastic student participation.
One standout event was the Interactive Art Pieces Trophy, where students transformed simple materials like cardboard into architectural masterpieces. Design-18 Challenge, with participants working non-stop for 18 hours on innovative designs.
The Dance Trophy went to Sushant School of Art & Architecture, with Guru Nanak Dev University receiving a special mention. Sushant School also claimed the Hunar Kriti Trophy, with Amity School of Architecture and Planning earning a special mention. Dev Bhoomi School won the Design 18 Citation, while Poornima University received a special mention. Chitkara School took the Interactive Art Pieces Trophy, with MBS School earning a special mention. Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women won the Journalism Trophy, with Chandigarh University receiving a special mention. Sushant School secured the Overall Trophy for their outstanding performance.
Ar. Prof. Charanjit S. Shah remarked, "It is inspiring to see the next generation of architects embrace creativity and sustainability, as these will define the future of the built environment."
