Jalandhar, February 12, 2025: CT Group of Institutions, in collaboration with the Deaf Leaders Foundation (DLF), is set to host the 9th edition of the India International Deaf Film Festival (IIDFF) from February 14-16, at the Sardarni Manjit Kaur Auditorium, Shahpur Campus, Jalandhar.

Since its inception in 2010, IIDFF has been a significant platform for showcasing the best Deaf films from India and across the globe, with the support of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, and the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) Cinema of India. The festival aims to celebrate the creativity and contributions of Deaf filmmakers while also addressing the challenges and opportunities within Deaf cinema. This year’s edition will feature a competitive category dedicated to Deaf Films, encouraging Deaf filmmakers to showcase their talent. The festival will present films across various segments, including Deaf Films in International Cinema, Country Focus, and Retrospective. Beyond cinema, IIDFF serves as a vital initiative to promote awareness and understanding of disability issues, advocating for the dignity, rights, and well-being of persons with disabilities.

Speaking about the event, Dr. Manbir Singh, Managing Director of CT Group, said, “Hosting the 9th India International Deaf Film Festival is an honor for CT Group. This festival is not just about films; it is a powerful movement to celebrate inclusivity, amplify unheard voices, and provide a global platform for Deaf artists. We are committed to fostering an environment where talent knows no barriers.”
