CT University hosted a faculty development program on "Sustainable Development Goals" in partnership with CT Institute of Architecture and Planning, Shahpur, Jalandhar.
Jalandhar August 24, 2022: CT University hosted a faculty development program on "Sustainable Development Goals" in partnership with CT Institute of Architecture and Planning, Shahpur, Jalandhar.
The session titled "Introduction to Education for Sustainable Development and Quality Education" was facilitated by Prof. T. Vishnupriyan, an MoE Certified Innovation Ambassador and Assistant Professor of English at SKACAS in Coimbatore. He emphasized that because of how humans have affected the earth's ecosystems collectively, our very survival appears to be in jeopardy as a result of the irreversible changes occurring every day. Additionally, he informed them that ESD is a vital component of high-quality education and a process of lifelong learning. It includes learning objectives and content, pedagogy, and the actual learning environment and improves the cognitive, socioemotional, and behavioral elements of learning.
The participants' understanding of ESD's aspects and problems about the process of change and factors to take into consideration while making changes within the context of quality education and education for sustainable development was aided by this debate. He ended by saying that education is a human right with the ability to significantly alter and safeguard the environment for long-term sustainable development.

Dr. Jasdeep Kaur Dhami, Director of Research, CT Group of Institutions welcomed the keynote speakers and delegates across the globe and outlined the aim and objectives of the FDP. She also shared that By 2030 the UN aims to ensure that all learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development and sustainable lifestyles, sustainable health practices, social wellbeing, human rights, gender equality, global citizenship, sustainable cities and communities, appreciation of cultural diversity and culture’s contribution to sustainable development.
