Jalandhar: The Center for Career Planning and Counseling, CT Group of Institutions, South Campus (Shahpur) organized a workshop on Data Analytics through Microsoft Excel for the faculty and staff members. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Harpreet Singh Bedi, Professor, Mittal School of Business. He is a Gold Medalist in Masters in Business Administration and recipient of the Academic Honor Award in PGDBM.
He started the workshop by giving brief information about Data Analytics, Data Visualization and Excel Modeling. He emphasized that MS-Excel is an advanced tool of Data Analytics and is a quite handy tool to better address the complexities of the current era. He further explained that how MS-Excel can enhance the effectiveness of their day to day operations by discussing various shortcuts in order to manage data and their practical implementations of the suggested methods.
To reduce the manual calculation load, formulas were explained and their correct implementation was focused so that later staff and faculty don’t face any issues. He later addressed the queries raised and provided valuable insights.
Dr. GS Kalra, Campus Director and Dean Academics Dr. Anupamdeep Sharma said that this workshop was very fruitful, innovative and interesting as practical implementation on the spot gave a great confidence to the staff members on sound handling of the data.
