CT Group spreads message of fitness at wow
From kids to old age, people participate in fun filled workout at wow
Jalandhar: Promoting the message of healthy living and fitness, CT Group of Institutions along with the support of Jalandhar Police Commissionerate, Municipal Corporation Jalandhar and Rajan Syal’s Parindey organized Weekend of Wellness (WOW) in the open streets of Model Town today.
The Guests for the occasion remained MCJ Commissioner IAS Karnesh Sharma, Joint Commissioner PCS Shayiri Malhotra, Community Facilitator Ramanpreet Kaur, ACP Harinder S Gill, SHO Surjit Singh along with CT Group Co-Chairperson Parminder Kaur Channi, Managing Director Manbir Singh and Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh.
People of different age bars participated in this gala fitness event in which they broke into synchronized dance moves and pumping workouts in a traffic free zone. The Model Town streets from 6am to 9am were cordoned off for the citizens. They used the streets for recreation that promoted health, wellbeing, fitness, togetherness and joy. The residents reformed their roads as open-air dance studios, art hubs, gymnasiums and yoga institutes.
The event started with fun filled and healthy activities like Yoga, cross fit, cycling, Aerobics, Zumba, Live Dhol, Gully Cricket, Open DJ, Badminton, Soccer, and many more.
MCJ Commissioner IAS Karnesh Sharma said that this is one of the great and healthy initiatives taken by CT Group and Jalandharites have shown up in a good number despite of cold weather today.
Rajan Syal from Parindey Academy said that residents have participated in this event whole heartedly and we as a fitness partner thank CT Group for giving us a chance to promote healthy lifestyle in a unique way.
Manbir Singh, Managing Director and Harpreet Singh, Vice Chairman, CT Group said that the endeavour aimed to encourage people to start walking, cycling and doing more fitness related activities in an entertaining way for a healthy living, especially after lockdown. The event is organized on Sunday to promote healthy lifestyle and remind the citizens to reclaim the streets as it belongs to them.
They thanked Police Commissionerate, Municipal Corporation, Rajan Syal Parindey and participants for making this event a grand success once again.
