CT GROUP’S TRAINER TAKES ONLINE COUNSELLING SESSION FOR LGBT COMMUNITY
MORE THAN 150 MEMBERS JOINED
Jalandhar: In this phase of challenging lockdown, people have started feeling low for many reasons and CT Group is putting its positive efforts in keeping its family members in high spirits. Not only this, taking a step forward, Amrit Kalsi, HOD, Department of Happiness and Deputy Director of Training and Counselling, CT Group has recently did a Live online session with Director of Shaan Foundation Deepak Rana who is running this NGO for LGBT community.
In this live session titled ‘Aao Gallan Kariye’ in which more than 150 members joined, Deepak put forward the problems which are being faced by his community members especially transgenders and HIV positive patients. He raised a few problems like increasing impatience amongst transgenders for not getting work or money due to lockdown. To this, Amrit Kalsi shared, “Well, the very first thing to note here that this COVID-19 and lockdown is a Universal challenge, so we need to Accept this firstly. Until we will accept the situation we cannot pass this lockdown in a fruitful manner.” She further shared a few tips to have patience as things will come back to track soon.
Another query raised by Deepak was about HIV positive patients that are demanding drugs for their survival and are getting frustrated due to non-availability of the same. To this Kalsi shared a few tips like keeping them busy in other activities like watching comedy shows or movies, cooking and dancing etc so that their minds get diverted. Adding to this, she also stressed on the powerful destroy factor of the person that will resolve many issues in life.
CT Group Managing Director Manbir Singh said, “We’re doing our bit in making this lockdown easy and positive for people. Such online counselling sessions are need of the hour.”
