CT Institute of Law organises Conference on Legal Awareness Programmes for Women
CT Institute of Law, in collaboration with the National Commission for Women, successfully organised a conference on Legal Awareness Programmes for Women. Participants included Aashaa workers, Anganwadi workers, female police officials, faculty members, and community members, creating a dynamic platform for discussions on pressing legal issues faced by women.
Ludhiana, December 17, 2024: CT Institute of Law, in collaboration with the National Commission for Women, successfully organised a conference on Legal Awareness Programmes for Women. Participants included Aashaa workers, Anganwadi workers, female police officials, faculty members, and community members, creating a dynamic platform for discussions on pressing legal issues faced by women.
The conference was inaugurated by Chief Guest Rahul Kumar Azad, Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), who emphasized the importance of legal literacy in empowering women. His inaugural address set the tone for the discussions, underscoring how legal education can be a powerful tool for women’s empowerment.
During the conference, Dr. Manavpreet Kaur Dhindsa, Principal of CTIL, highlighted the need for legal education to empower women and promote equity. Harleen Kaur from the District Legal Services Authority offered guidance on accessing free legal aid and filing complaints.
Dashwinder Singh, Legal Assistant, discussed legal remedies for women facing domestic violence, while Jagannath Sir, Senior Assistant, addressed the administrative support systems available to assist them.
The event featured interactive workshops and Q&A sessions, allowing participants to engage directly with the experts and gain hands-on knowledge of women’s rights and the tools available to enforce them.
