Jalandhar, March 18, 2015: CT Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences lifted the winning trophy of PharmaCrest organised by the Pharmacy Institute of CT Group of Institutions on Wednesday with an aim to provide and share comprehensive information pertaining to the profession of pharmaceutical sciences in relevance to the contemporary advancements thereof amongst the budding pharmacist of the Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, U.P., Jammu & Kashmir. About 800 students and several faculties from different pharmacy colleges participated in prelim round out of which 75 short listed for final round of contest.

PharmaCrest event was conducted in three phases; Prelim round was conducted at different pharmacy college based on mock test. Pre-final round was done with representative teams of different participating colleges through online test at CT group of Institutions and   final round would comprise with top five ranking institutional teams at three sub rounds namely pharmacy awareness, audio visual, and rapid-fire. In the model making contest, the students displayed models of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Life Sciences.

The Participants with full zeal and enthusiasm participated in every event. Prizes were awarded to two teams. Winner and runner up team were awarded with cash reward of Rs. 11000 and Rs. 5100 respectively along with mementos and certificates others were given certificate of participation. CT Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences lifted the winning trophy while Government Polytechnic College for Girls, Jalandhar won the runners-up trophy.

Dr. Anil Kumar Sharma (Director, CT Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences) said that such attempts by the Pharmacy Institute in propagating the advancement in the professional society will be carried in future also

Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institution) and Dr. Manoj Kumar (Group Director, CT Institutions) welcomed all the participants and said that these kind of activities like PharmaCrest upgrade and update the knowledge of participating students which shall definitely help them improving their academic merits and affairs in professional practices. They also appreciated the effort made by the department.
