Inspired by the success of "Shark Tank India" and the triumphant Big Fish Pool Season 1 organized by CT University in Ludhiana, this initiative underscores CT Group's dedication to nurturing an entrepreneurial spirit among young minds.
The event featured the top 25 pitch decks from Punjab, selected from a pool of over 100 entries. These young innovators presented their groundbreaking ideas to a panel of distinguished Angel Investors and Venture Capitalists, including Rupinder Maliya, Founder Director of Vision Upgraded; Dr. Munish Jindal, Founder of LUCR8 Ventures; Navdeep Singh, Deputy CEO, DBEE Jalandhar, Govt of Punjab, and Dr. Ati Priye, Director of CT University, Mentor of Change, Niti Aayog, Government of India, and Business Blaster.
The top 3 winners received the unique opportunity to pitch their projects before a distinguished panel of 21 sharks, with funding opportunities of up to 20 crores at Big Fish Pool Season 2, scheduled for December 2, 2023, at CT University, Ludhiana.
Cambridge Innovative School, Jalandhar, clinched the top spot in the Big Fish Pool Junior event, followed by Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, in second place, and Cambridge Innovative School, Jalandhar, securing the third position. Special recognition was extended to Sai Dass School, Jalandhar, for their outstanding participation, highlighting their dedication to innovation.
The Chief Guest for the occasion, Shri Varinder Pal Singh Bajwa, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Rural Development, Jalandhar, graced the event with his presence. Accompanying him were the Co-Chairperson of CT Group, Parminder Kaur, and Vice Chairman, Harpreet Singh.
Distinguished guests included Dr. Yogesh Chabbra, Director of CT Group of Institutions, Dr. Jayant Vats, Associate Director of Placement, and Dr. Ramanpreet Gautam, Assistant Director.
