CT Public School organizes annual sports meet
Jalandhar, November 25, 2019: CT Public School organised Annual Sports Meet upholding the aspect of sporting events. It was a day filled with fervour and excitement, in the sprawling and lush green environment of school. The event commenced with the felicitation of Chief Guest Harpreet Singh, Vice Chairman of CT Group who performed balloons releasing ceremony and declared Annual Ports Meet 2019 'Open'. Principal Daljit Singh Rana and Vice Principal Sukhdeep Kaur welcomed the guests and gathering. The Principal laid emphasis on the importance of sports in a students' life in his welcome speech. He further added that the aim behind organizing the sports day was to inculcate the value of sportsmanship in students and to develop a fondness for the sports. Torch ceremony was proceeded by the sport stars of CTPS namely Jiya Wadhwa U-17 Lawn Tennis National player, Devkaran U-17 National Cricket player, Raunish U-14 National Cricket player, Kartik Chadha U-16 played in PCA and also participated in Vijay Merchant Trophy organized by BCCI , Krishna Sharma U-17 women cricket National player. They lit the ceremonial torch which was followed by the spectacular, impressive and well synchronized March Past by all the four Houses: Kalpana Chawla House, APJ Abdul Kalam Azaad House, Nelson Mandela House and Mother Teresa House. This was entailed by the races wherein the participants participated with full passion and vigour. It was a delight to see the excitement with which the students challenged themselves to attempt a variety of races such as 100 meter race, 200meter, 400 meter race, three legged race, hurdle race, hop race and relay race. Tiny toddlers from grade 1 presented a beautiful and very energetic dance performance that won the hearts of everyone present there. The day ended with an encouraging note by the Principal in which he expressed his sense of gratitude towards CT Management, CTPS Faculty and students for displaying the spirit of sportsmanship and making Annual Sports Day 2019 a great success.
