CT Public School registered win in Sahodaya Inter School Cricket Tournament

Jalandhar: It is a joyous moment for CT Group of Institutions that being the former champions of Sahodaya Inter School Cricket Tournament, CT Public School has again got the privilege to organize this prestigious tournament third time again. The tournament is organized by Sahodaya Independent Schools under the aegis of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) where the winning team got the privilege to host the tournament.
In this tournament as many as 25 teams from various schools of Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Phagwara and Hoshiarpur including DIPS, Dayanand Model School, Police DAV Public School and others participated.
The host, CT Public School played the first match for the day against Innocent Hearts School where the former won the toss and choose to bat first. The team scored 36 runs in which Nitish Tangri scored 12 and Aman Scored 7 runs on the loss of 7 wickets in 10 overs. In this innings, Kulwinder took 3 wickets, Lovepreet Bhullar and Jaskaran both took 2 wickets. In return, CT Public School scored 37 runs without the loss of any wicket. Rishav Saini scored 26 runs in 8 balls and Arvinder Walia scored 11 runs in 8 balls.
The second match was between DIPS, Dhilwan and Apeejay School. In this DIPS scored 79 runs while Apeejay School scored 66 runs.
The highlight of the day remained the homage paid by the Players to the martyrs of 26/11 Mumbai Attack by maintaining 2 minutes silence.
The match was kicked off by S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) and Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions). S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) congratulated the participating team and applauded the dedication of the coaches & their teams for their excellent performance. Mrs. Suman Rana (Principal, CT Public School) urged all the students to participate in sports for their overall growth and personality development.
