CT students to organise heritage walk at Sultanpur Lodhi from Nov 2- 12
Jalandhar, October 30, 2019: Marking the mega celebration of 550th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev, the students of Department of Architecture and Planning and Journalism, CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur campus will organise a Heritage Walk from November 2-12 2019 at Sultanpur Lodhi. Around 50 students are selected and trained thoroughly to play the role of guides to the pilgrims who would be interested for a religious walk to all Gurudwaras of the holy city. Throwing light over the same, Ar. Shruti H Kapur, Principal of CT Institute of Architecture and Planning said, “The key objective of organising this heritage walk is to promote religious knowledge amongst the devotees attending to mark this mega celebration. The assembly point will be Virasat-e-Pradarshni at Government Senior Secondary School for Boys and the end of the walk will be at Sri Gurudwara Ber Sahib.” Adding further, faculty members named Preetpal Singh and Ar. Ishween said, “The students are trained well to guide the devotees and aware them about the historical importance of the town, life and philosophies of Guru Nanak. The walk will also cover the historic shrines, Gurudwaras, Qila Sarai, Chiti Masjid, Hadira and deep inside the narrow lanes and bylanes of the 1000-year old city Sultanpur Lodhi.
