CT University celebrates National Start Up Day
With a focus on promoting and encouraging upcoming businesses in the country, January 16 was adopted as the National Startup Day in 2022.
Ludhiana, January 16, 2022: With a focus on promoting and encouraging upcoming businesses in the country, January 16 was adopted as the National Startup Day in 2022. Calling start-ups the backbone of the ‘new India’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the formal adoption of this day. This year, as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, several events were organized by CT University, with the aim to foster a spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation by involving the startup community.
The University organized the startup showcase which was a student business startup competition. The event was designed to link contestants to support resources and help them develop connections with potential investors, mentors, and the larger business community. Students will be getting support for their start-up business through the CT Business Incubator. Further, Dr. Harmeet Singh, Dy. Director IPR, CT University evaluated the young entrepreneurs from BCM School, Ludhiana and provided mentorship support for their business ideas.
Dr. Satish Bansal, Officiating Vice Chancellor, CT University said that “This initiative will bring together young celebrated entrepreneurs to brainstorm, innovate and excel!. India has emerged as one of the largest hubs for young start-ups and there is an opportunity to experiment and solve problems differently. This startup day, give the encouragement and support the young entrepreneurs need as in their growth lies the future of our country.
