CT University Celebrates the Life and Legacy of Guru Nanak Dev Ji
CT University's Guru Nanak Chair and Dean Research Office organised a special event to commemorate Guru Nanak Dev Ji's Prakash Purab. The occasion featured a distinguished lecture by Dr. Harpal Singh Pannu, Professor of Sikh Studies, Guru Gobind Singh Chair, Central University of Punjab.
Ludhiana, December 19, 2024: CT University's Guru Nanak Chair and Dean Research Office organised a special event to commemorate Guru Nanak Dev Ji's Prakash Purab. The occasion featured a distinguished lecture by Dr. Harpal Singh Pannu, Professor of Sikh Studies, Guru Gobind Singh Chair, Central University of Punjab.
Dr. Pannu's lecture, titled "Janam Sakhi Sahit Di Ameer Parampra" (ਜਨਮ ਸਾਖੀ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਦੀ ਅਮੀਰ ਪਰੰਪਰਾ), delved into the rich tradition of Janam Sakhi literature and celebrated Guru Nanak Dev Ji's teachings.

The event was coordinated by Assistant Dean Research Dr. Satvir Singh, Dr. Lakhwinder Kaur, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Nitin Tandon and Director of the Department of Student Welfare, Er. Davinder Singh, thanked the Chief Guest for his insightful lecture.
Dr. Harpal Singh Pannu is a renowned scholar with numerous accolades, including the Shiromani Punjabi Sahitkar Award (2016) from the Government of Punjab. He has published 24 books and has held various prestigious positions, including Visiting Professor at the University of Religious Studies, Qom, Iran, and Nav-Nalanda University, Nalanda, Bihar.
