CT University celebrates `Tourism Week’
CT University's Department of Hotel Management, Airlines and Tourism celebrated a week-long Tourism Week with a series of events themed "Tourism and Peace". The celebration aimed to highlight tourism's role in promoting global understanding, environmental responsibility and cultural exchange.
Ludhiana, October 28, 2024: CT University's Department of Hotel Management, Airlines and Tourism celebrated a week-long Tourism Week with a series of events themed "Tourism and Peace". The celebration aimed to highlight tourism's role in promoting global understanding, environmental responsibility and cultural exchange.
The activities included an awareness campaign, a students' seminar, an educational visit to a wildlife sanctuary, tree plantation drives and a cleanliness campaign. The highlight was an international e-seminar on "Tourism and Peace," where Prof. Mohinder Chand, Prof. Nitin Vyas, Dr. Anna, Dr. Vianna and Dr. Ahmed shared insights on how tourism promotes global harmony by fostering cross-cultural understanding and peaceful interactions
Chairman Charanjit Singh Channi, Vice chancellor Dr. Abhishek Tripathi, Dean Academics Dr. Simranjeet Kaur Gill, Registrar Sanjay Khanduri and Dean school of Management, Hotel Management and Design Dr. Ashish Raina marked their presence. Through these events, the department engaged students and faculty in promoting tourism as a force for good. The celebration not only broadened students' understanding of the tourism industry but also encouraged them to become responsible and environmentally conscious citizens.
