CT University celebrates World Environment Day
CT University today marked World Environment Day with a series of impactful activities designed to raise environmental awareness and encourage sustainable practices among students. Ludhiana, June 5, 2024: CT University today marked World Environment Day with a series of impactful activities designed to raise environmental awareness and encourage sustainable practices among students. Organized by the Department of Student Welfare, the celebrations included a successful plantation drive and enthusiastic participation in International Bicycle Day.
Students and staff members came together to plant numerous saplings, aiming to enhance the greenery and promote a healthier environment.
CTU clubs, under the aegis of the Department of Student Welfare, celebrated International Bicycle Day to promote cycling as an eco-friendly and healthy mode of transportation. By encouraging students to incorporate cycling into their daily routines, the university aims to reduce carbon footprints and foster a culture of sustainability on campus.
The dual celebrations successfully motivated students to engage in environmental conservation efforts.
"By celebrating both World Environment Day and International Bicycle Day, we aim to educate and inspire our students about the interconnectedness of environmental issues and the importance of sustainable living," said Dr. Abhishek Tripathi, Vice Chancellor, CT University.
