CT University celebrates World Pharmacist Day 2023
The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at CT University celebrated World Pharmacist Day with a fervour that showcased not only the institution's commitment to the pharmacy but also the exceptional talent of its students. The event witnessed a multitude of competitions and cultural performances, making it a memorable day for all. Following the theme of PCI, Head of Department Dr. Vir Vikram marked the role of pharmacists strengthening the health care system and organ donation.
Ludhiana, September 26, 2023: The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at CT University celebrated World Pharmacist Day with a fervour that showcased not only the institution's commitment to the pharmacy but also the exceptional talent of its students. The event witnessed a multitude of competitions and cultural performances, making it a memorable day for all. Following the theme of PCI, Head of Department Dr. Vir Vikram marked the role of pharmacists strengthening the health care system and organ donation.
Different activities showcased remarkable creativity of students. In the Rangoli Competition, Kamaljeet Kaur, Gurjeet Kaur, Komal Preet Kaur, and Shivam clinched the top spot, followed by Palak, Rolly, Smriti, and Mohd Farooq in the second position, and Harshin, Harman, and Harjot securing the third position. The Quiz Competition saw Team Elsevier Quiz emerging as the champions, with Team Willy taking the second spot, and Team Taylor and Francis securing the third position.
The Poster Presentation segment showcased exceptional talent, with Vibha and Bimal from the 5th semester, and Aqsa Pharm D from the 1st year, standing out as standout presenters. In the realm of cultural events, "Lazy Dance" tied with B Pharm 5th Sem Western Dance), claimed the second position while "Giddha and Bhangra Mashup" by the 5th and 7th Sem students tied with the diploma girls for third position. Additionally, the "Northeast Girl's Traditions Dance" added a unique cultural dimension to the celebrations.
Dr. Vir Vikram, the Head of the Department, highlighted pharmacists' crucial role in healthcare and organ donation, stating, "Pharmacists play a vital role in strengthening the healthcare system and promoting the noble cause of organ donation. Their expertise ensures safe medication use and helps save lives through the selfless act of organ donation."
