CT University Celebrates World Tourism Day 2023 with Spectacular Week-Long Events
Ludhiana, September 28, 2023: The School of Hotel Management, Airlines, and Tourism at CT University celebrated World Tourism Day 2023 with a spectacular week-long series of events from September 19th to September 27th, providing an enriching and unforgettable experience for students.

The theme for World Tourism Day 2023, as designated by the United Nations World Tourism Organization, was "Tourism and Green Investments."
To kick off this grand celebration, our students, faculty, and the local community came together to plant 150 trees in Sohian village, emphasizing our commitment to environmental sustainability. The week featured a range of exciting competitions, including quizzes, rangoli art, itinerary planning, and photography contests.
Students also had the opportunity to embark on an educational journey to heritage sites, immersing themselves in India's rich cultural history. This visit included a trip to the international border at Hussainiwala, offering a unique perspective on the country's historical significance.
Expert sessions provided valuable insights into the ever-evolving world of tourism, offering students direct knowledge from industry professionals.
World Tourism Day culminated in a cultural walk featuring 12 groups of students representing their respective nations and countries. The event concluded with open-stage performances right here on the CTU campus, showcasing the diversity of cultures and talents that make our university community exceptional.
Pro Chancellor Dr. Manbir Singh expressed his pride in the students and faculty for their active participation in these events, emphasizing that these experiences would undoubtedly shape them into well-rounded professionals in the field of tourism. Dr. Singh commended the university's commitment to providing holistic education and fostering future leaders in the tourism industry.
