CT University conducts FDP on ‘Gender Sensitization’

A Faculty Development Programme (FDP) was conducted by CT University on ‘Gender Sensitization’. It covered various aspects of gender like gender stereotyping; gender equality and gender equity along with sensitizing the staff of CT Group to be gender neutral.
While delivering her session, the speaker Himani Joshi Arora, Assistant Professor, School of Management Studies focused upon spreading awareness regarding gender disparity that prevails in the society and who perpetuates such biased conceptions. While demonstrating with real life examples, she further said “We need to teach that what is wrong and what is right and here teachers play an important role in the early adult years of a person’s life. It is important for them to be a role model of fairness, moral and ethical behavior, but most importantly the advocates of gender equality.”
Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor CTU, said, “Such FDPs are for upgrading the skills of Faculty and this topic is Need of the Hour. Since education is the catalyst for change, the tutors are the right agents to implement this change.”
