CT University Debuts EvoClassic: A Vintage Electric Car Created by Faculty and Students

Jalandhar, October 21, 2024: CT University's Department of Robotics & Automation launched the Vintage Electric Car EvoClassic. This project successfully merges the timeless elegance of classic automotive design with the technology of electric vehicles.
This project took over six months to complete with an approximate budget of ₹2.5 lakhs. The project was initiated by R&D Engineer Dr. Inderjeet Singh, along with Satyam Gupta and Gurkirat Singh Maan, supported by the department's technical staff and engineering students. The team incorporated retro design elements into a fully functional electric vehicle demonstrating the immense potential for innovation within traditional concepts.
Pro-Chancellor of CT University, Dr. Manbir Singh emphasized that EvoClassic is not only a technological marvel but also a bridge between history and the future showcasing the versatility of electric vehicles. The inauguration was attended by the Vice Chancellor of CT University, Dr. Abhishek Tripathi; Dean of Academics, Dr. Simranjeet Kaur Gill; Director of the Department of Student Welfare, Davinder Singh; Engineer Dr. Inderjeet Singh; faculty, students, and industry representatives.
