CT University felicitates first batch students of cyber security certification

Ludhiana, November 9, 2018: CT University (CTU), under a tie-up with the International Council of Electronic Commerce Consultants (EC-Council) facilitated the first batch of its students who successfully completed the first module of Cyber Security as being ‘Certified Secure Computer User’, through an online mode of examination.

During the certificate award ceremony, CTU Managing Director Manbir Singh, Vice Chancellor, Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Registrar, Dr Jagtar Singh Dhiman, Head School of CSE, Sukhminder Grewal, and other officials were present.

Vice Chancellor Dr Harsh Sadawarti said, “The need of the hour is smart youth that is not only confined to books but spreading their wings over every possible perspective to match up the progress especially the Internet world.” He elaborated that the University offers BCA Honours and B.Tech (Honours) specialising in Cyber Security.

Congratulating the students, Managing Director, Manbir Singh, said that CTU is always promoting out of box thinking and added that cyber security makes them think logically and be safe citizens, especially in an era of crime prone cyber world.

The Centre has scheduled to organise a national event Cyberthon in the start of 2019, focusing on latest developments in Cyber Security and Hackathon activities for which a logo and poster has been launched.
