CT University holds a workshop on Fresco Art
School of Design and Innovation, CT University organised a workshop based on Fresco art and the technique of Fresco by expert Artist Gurpreet Singh.
Ludhiana, April 7, 2022: School of Design and Innovation, CT University organised a workshop based on Fresco art and the technique of Fresco by expert Artist Gurpreet Singh.
Artist Gurpreet Singh Mankoo is the Fresco Artist. From his childhood he was dedicated to religious practices which subsequently inspired him to paint on religious themes in a realistic style. He worked on the interior walls and ceilings of Gurudwara Sahib, Mansuran Ludhiana west. He is best in Fresco art. Fresco is a technique of mural painting which is freshly laid with lime plaster.
While addressing the students, the artist taught the students of BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) about the Fresco art and the technique of Fresco. The students get knowledge about miniature paintings and Fresco art. The students learn about the colors that the Artist used to make from the fresh pigments.
Thanking the guest, Jasvinder Kaur, Coordinator, School of Design and Innovation said, "Such seminars which involve artists direct from the field are much learning and helpful for students. Fine art is popular since old ages. I hope students have a focused vision to be established as artists in the field of fine art."
CTU Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Harsh Sadawarti honored the guest and said that we work on the ground for University students to identify and hone art. So we shall always invite famous artists from all over the world to enhance the student experience.
