CT University holds eye screening and surgery camp in Moga
Ludhiana, October 1, 2021: CT University in association with Sood Charity Foundation and Sankara Eye Hospital organized a free eye screening and surgery camp at Gurudwara Shaheed Baba Tega Singh Ji, Chand Purana, Moga towards their joint Mission Jot to eradicate preventable blindness from Punjab.
Over 200 eye patients suffering from various eye problems i.e. diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, cataract, oculoplasty, cornea & various other eye problems have availed the services of leading eye specialists from Sankara Eye Hospital. & were prescribed the necessary treatment and were given free medicines at camp.
Good numbers of patients were also advised cataract surgery, those will be operated free of cost at Sankara Eye Hospital, Ludhiana including pre-post-operative medicines & stay at the hospital.
Mukhi Sewadar Baba Gurdeep Singh of Gurudwara Baba Tega Singh ji, Sardar Inderjit Singh Gill, Chairman, Planning Board, Moga and Malvika Sood from Sood Charity Foundation were the guests of honour at the event & encouraged participating team by presenting mementos.
Charanjit Singh Channi, Chancellor and Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor, CT University extended thanks to all patients, those who had visited the camp from far & flung and asserted that more such eye camps will be organized at regular intervals for the benefit of needy people.
