CT University holds guest lecture on women empowerment

CT varsity officials while honoring expert Sudesh Ahlawat after the expert talk on women empowerment.

Ludhiana, March 29, 2019: CT University’ School of Humanities and Physical Education under the ‘Centre for Women Empowerment and Leadership’ (CWELD) organised an Expert Talk by Sudesh Ahlawat, Host Consultant, Indiana University, USA. She is a Former Founder Principal of BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar.

Welcoming the guest, Dr Pravin Kumar, Head of School of Humanities and Physical Education said, “Women must be valued every day. She is still now considered just a home maker but she is much more, a woman is now reaching various heights. Women Empowerment is need of the hour.”

During the lecture, Ahlawat said, “Empowerment is a process not destination. Women need empowerment in their thinking and power within self; bringing out their real version. The power of empowerment is with everyone, we all just have to plug in and execute it. Women should not be a victim of any evil and must be respected at all fronts.” She encouraged the female students to have their uniqueness and value it. She later motivated students with her live experiences of life.

CT University has recently launched Centre for Women Empowerment and Leadership. On this, Vice Chancellor, Dr Harsh Sadawarti said, “The centre will have workshops, conferences, seminars, experts talks by various Women who are an example of empowerment and Sudesh Ahlawat is one of them. With such sessions, we can always celebrate the empowerment of women.”
