CT University hosts District Open Youth Festival
CT University proudly took the helm as the host for a vibrant and culturally rich District Open Youth Festival. The two-day extravaganza, organized by the Department of Youth Services, unfolded on the dynamic grounds of CT University, creating an atmosphere of celebration and artistic exploration.
Ludhiana, January 19, 2024: CT University proudly took the helm as the host for a vibrant and culturally rich District Open Youth Festival. The two-day extravaganza, organized by the Department of Youth Services, unfolded on the dynamic grounds of CT University, creating an atmosphere of celebration and artistic exploration.
The event, showcased the diverse talents of the district's youth, drawing enthusiastic participation and fostering a spirit of camaraderie. The festival featured an eclectic mix of competitions designed to promote various art forms and enhance the cultural fabric of the region. The inaugural day buzzed with energy as participants engaged in spirited competitions, including Bhangra, Ludi/Sammi, Folk Instrument Competition, Speech Competition/Debate, War-singing, Kawishri, and Fine Arts Competition encompassing Poster Making, Clay Modeling, Cartooning, Rangoli, and Mehndi etc.
Day two of the festival continued the celebration with students participating in Giddha, Gatka, traditional folk song renditions, traditional dress displays, Bhand, mono acting, Kali, folk art competition, and phulkari making, among other captivating activities.
The festival was graced by the presence Chancellor Charanjit Singh as Chief Guest. Joining him were S. Davinder Singh Lotey, Assistant Director of Youth Services Ludhiana, Pro Chancellor Dr. Manbir Singh and Er. Davinder Singh, the Director of Student Welfare at CT University Ludhiana. Chancellor Charanjit Singh and other dignitaries presented prizes, applauding their outstanding performances and valuable contributions to the cultural vibrancy of the district.
