CT University hosts successful Workshop on "Zebrafish Model in Pharmacological Research"
The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SOPS) at CT University successfully organised a two-day workshop on the "Zebrafish Model in Pharmacological Research," held under the auspices of the 4th Asian Congress for Alternatives to Animal Experiments.
Ludhiana, December 13, 2024: The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SOPS) at CT University successfully organised a two-day workshop on the "Zebrafish Model in Pharmacological Research," held under the auspices of the 4th Asian Congress for Alternatives to Animal Experiments.
The workshop revolved around the overarching theme of "Non-animal Approaches: Concept, Validation and Regulatory Acceptance" and aligned with the 7th Annual Conference of the Society for Alternatives to Animal Experiments (SAAE).
The workshop was conducted by Kaunava Roy Chowdhury under the guidance of Dr. Vir Vikram.
The workshop was graced by the presence of Chancellor S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Pro Chancellor Dr. Manbir Singh, Vice Chancellor Dr. Abhishek Tripathi and Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Nitin Tandon, encouraged the participants with their motivational words.
The workshop witnessed overwhelming participation with 61 participants including 12 participants from different states showcasing the national reach of the event. The presence of dignitaries and the active involvement of participants made the workshop a grand success.
The distinguished Guest of Honours were Dr. J.S. Dua, President SPER Punjab and Dr. Ashwani Dhingra, President SPER Haryana.
The event also featured Dr. Satnam Singh, Professor at Adesh University, as an honoured speaker.
"We are committed to promoting innovative research and ethical practices in pharmaceutical sciences, with a focus on non-animal approaches," said Dr. Vir Vikram.
