CT University inspires health and wellness with 'Fit India Week'
The Department of Student Welfare in collaboration with Sports department at CT University successfully organized the Fit India Week, a week-long initiative aimed at promoting physical well-being and fostering a healthy lifestyle among students. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various disciplines.
Ludhiana, January 29, 2024: The Department of Student Welfare in collaboration with Sports department at CT University successfully organized the Fit India Week, a week-long initiative aimed at promoting physical well-being and fostering a healthy lifestyle among students. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various disciplines.
The Fit India Week featured a diverse range of activities designed to cater to the holistic health of students. The schedule included Yoga sessions, Self-Defence Workshops, a Cross-fit Event at CT’O’ Gym, Tug Of War, Cross Country Event, Zumba, and Aerobics Sessions.
The Fit India Week unfolded with a meticulously designed schedule addressing various aspects of student well-being. Invigorating Yoga sessions emphasized mental and physical well-being, while empowering Self-Defence Workshops aimed at providing essential skills for safety and confidence.
The CT'O' Gym hosted a dynamic Cross-fit Event challenging students to push their physical limits, and the Tug of War competition brought spirited participants together in a test of strength and strategy.
In addition to these main events, the week embraced a variety of fitness-related activities, ensuring inclusivity for diverse interests and fitness levels. Noteworthy additions included a thrilling Cross Country Event, showcasing participants' endurance against the backdrop of the scenic campus, and lively Zumba and Aerobics Sessions added an energetic and joyful spirit to the Fit India Week.
Er. Davinder Singh, Director, Department of Student Welfare said, "The Fit India Week aimed to instil a sense of the importance of fitness and well-being in our students. The variety of activities allowed us to cater to different interests, ensuring that every student could find something that resonated with them.”
