CT University marks festival of Lohri
Female students and staff danced together
Ludhiana: Amidst rainy and chilled weather, CT University marked the festival of Lohri with great fervour. The staff and students gathered together to enjoy the bonfire. International students along with others enjoyed the festival by dancing and eating traditional Lohri sweets.
CT University’s female students and staff danced together and looked cheerful in traditional attires. The festival was dedicated to the importance of women in society.
Jessica Jennifer, a student of BBA said, “This is my first time that I celebrated Lohri. My Indian friends told me about this festival and dolled me up in traditional style. I felt good in Punjabi attire. We danced around the bonfire.”
CTU Vice Chancellor Dr. Harsh Sadawarti said, “I wish one and all a very Happy Lohri from CT University. This festival in CTU has come up with a message of saving and protecting the females in the society. Apart from this, hundreds of students and staff enjoyed kite flying. The staff and students danced and had a gala time.”
