CT University organises ‘Interfaith: Unity in Diversity’

Ludhiana, September 13, 2022 : CT University Ludhiana organized 'Interfaith: Unity in Diversity' with the support of Youth Interfaith Peace and Harmony (YIPH).
 
Students of different religions come and study in CT University from twenty-seven countries and share their culture and religion by sitting together in one place. Therefore, interfaith was organized with the initiative of CT University management that religion is our school in which we learn to live in discipline. Speakers of four religions, Muslims, Christians, Hindus and Sikhs shared their views in this Interfaith.
 
The event was hosted by Mohammad Majid Misgar, Manager Corporation Relations and the event was managed by Culture Affairs Head, Sarghi Kaur Barring under the supervision of Vice-Chairman, Harpreet Singh. Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Satish Kumar the function started by welcoming the speakers Shahi Imam Punjab, Maulana Muhammad Usman Rahmani, Father Mathew Pala, Prof. Vinay Softat and Interfaith speaker of UNO Parampal Singh Sabhrah.
 
Shahi Imam Punjab said that religion teaches to live together. A religious leader who teaches hate for their religion cannot be religious.
 
Christian spokesman Father Matthew said that no religion teaches miracles and does not perform miracles. Religion only teaches a person to be a good person.
 
Hindu speaker Prof. Sofat said that any kind of fanaticism makes a person a strange person whose thoughts come out of negativity.
 
Parampal Singh Sabhrah from the Alliance of Sikh Organizations said that the religion has no branches and the preacher of the religion does not ask for his worship. If someone says, there should be a social boycott. Religion is to give perfect shape to our thoughts
 
After listening to the views of all the speakers, the students gathered from all religions asked them questions. After that, the Chancellor, CT University, Charanjit Singh Channi concluded the event with his views.
Dr. Manbir Singh, Pro-Chancellor thanked everyone and besides honoring the speakers, Gursahib Singh, Sukhdev Singh Phagwara, Pardeep Singh Valtoha and Harsimran Singh who are working for interfaith dialogue were also honored.
