CT University organizes Inter-School CT Youth Parliament- Model Lok Sabha
CT University’s School of Law organized Inter-School CT Youth Parliament- Model Lok Sabha under the guidance of Dr. Simranjeet Kaur Gill, Principal.
Ludhiana, April 28, 2022: CT University’s School of Law organized Inter-School CT Youth Parliament- Model Lok Sabha under the guidance of Dr. Simranjeet Kaur Gill, Principal. In this, 69 students from different Schools of the University participated as delegates representing the portfolios of various Parliamentarians.
They debated and shared their opinions on the Transgender Persons (Protection of rights) Act 2019. The session of CT Youth Parliament was coordinated by Guest Speaker Chiragdeep Singh as Speaker for the Session, Vishwas Vaid and Ishika Desoi acted as Deputy Speakers.
All the delegates participated in the session with high zest & zeal and discussed all the intricacies & lacunas in the bill related to transgender with full enthusiasm. Amongst all the delegates Chetna Dhiman who represented the portfolio of Mimi Chakraborty was judged as Best Parliamentarian and Priyanka representing the portfolio of Adhiranjan Chaudhary bagged the position of Best Parliamentarian Runners- Up. Parul Kumari (representing the portfolio of Sonia Gandhi) bagged the award for Best Attire and Sonu Singh (representing the portfolio of Sukhbir Singh Badal) bagged the position for Best Entertainer.
CTU Vice Chancellor Dr. Harsh Sadawarti applauded the efforts of School of Law for organizing a well structured and educative event.
