Ludhiana, January 21, 2025: CT University's Department of Student Welfare organised a successful awareness rally to educate students and the local community about the harmful effects of single-use plastic straws, specifically China Dor.
The rally aimed to promote eco-friendly alternatives and encourage individuals to make a positive impact on the environment.
The event, attended by students, faculty members, and local residents, featured a rally and slogan writing. Participants held placards and banners with thought-provoking messages.
Director Student Welfare, Er. Davinder Singh, CT University, emphasised, "As responsible citizens, it's our duty to protect the environment. Single-use plastic straws are a major contributor to plastic pollution, harming our ecosystem and wildlife.By choosing eco-friendly alternatives, we can make a significant difference."
Pro Chancellor, Dr. Manbir Singh, commented, "We are proud to initiate this eco-friendly movement. Our students are the future leaders, and it's essential to instill environmental responsibility in them. We will continue to promote sustainability and reduce plastic waste on our campus."
